TCL leads market activity

Trinidad Cement Ltd (TCL) began the week as market leader with a volume of 332,583 shares and a value of $1.20 million. National Enterprises Ltd (NEL) and First Caribbean International Bank Ltd (FCI) were also significant contributors to the day’s activity with 30,443 shares and 28,780 shares crossing the floor of the stock exchange for respective values of $251,159.18 and $212,925.60. Additionally, 12,075 shares of Guardian Holdings Ltd (GHL) changed hands with a value of $169,050.00. In total, 406,716 shares were traded valued at $1.94 million. Advances outpaced declines 2.1 as TCL climbed $0.09 to $3.61 and Ansa McAL Ltd (AMCL) moved up $0.05 to $40.05.

Conversely, FCI slipped $0.08 to $7.40. There was no trading activity on Mutual Fund Market, leaving prices unchanged at $5.11 for Caribbean Property Fund (CPF), $3.46 for Praetorian Property Mutual Fund (PPMF) and $62.00 for Savinvest India Asia Fund (SIAF). Prices on the Second Tier Market remained unchanged with FNCU-Venture Capital Company Ltd (FNCU) and MOV standing firm at $1.00 and $13.50 respectively. The Bond Market was inactive. The Composite Index fell 0.98 points to 770.82 while the Cross Listed Index shed 0.30 points on its way to 56.53. The All T&T Index gained 0.71 points to end on 1,086.72.
