Agostini’s ends day as volume leader

Trading concluded yesterday with a total volume of 96,514 shares valued at $516,403.58. Agostini’s Ltd (AGL) was the volume leader, with 39,237 shares being traded for a value of $294,277.50. National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd (NCBJ) posted a volume of 36,000 shares valued at $36,000. Sagicor Financial Corporation (SFC) and National Flour Mills Ltd (NFM) added volumes of 11,332 shares and 7,154 shares valued at $131,116.24 and $4,936.26, respectively.

Declines dominated the day’s session as SFC dipped four per cent or $0.43 to $11.57 and NCBJ fell nine per cent or $0.10 to $1. The Mutual Fund Market recorded activity as Savinvest India Asia Fund (SIAF) posted a volume of 807 shares valued at $50,034. Prices remained unchanged at $5.11 for Caribbean Property Fund (CPF), $3.46 for Praetorian Property Mutual Fund (PPMF) and $62 for SIAF.

The Second Tier Market remained inactive with FNCU-Venture Capital Company Ltd (FNCU) and Mora Ven Holdings Ltd (MOV) standing firm at $1 and $13.50, respectively. There was no activity on the Bond Market. The Composite Index slipped 3.98 points on its way to 770.69. The All T&T Index was unchanged at 1,083.70. The Cross Listed Index fell 0.90 points to 56.83.
