FirstCaribbean closes as market leader

Light trading on Thursday resulted in a total volume of 53,325 shares crossing the floor of the stock exchange valued at $491,939.75. FirstCaribbean International Bank Ltd (FCI) emerged as the volume leader with 21,500 shares for a value of $161,540.00. Guardian Holdings Ltd (GHL) contributed 19,380 shares with a value of $274,355.25, while GraceKennedy Ltd (GKC) added 10,015 shares valued at $27,040.50.
Sagicor Financial Corporation (SFC) and National Enterprises Ltd (NEL) accounted for volumes of 2,400 shares and 30 shares with respective values of $28,800.00 and $204.00. Declines monopolised the day’s activity as FCI fell $0.30 to $7.50 and GKC slipped $0.01 to $2.70. There was no activity on the Mutual Fund Market. Prices remained unchanged at $5.11 for Caribbean Property Fund (CPF), $3.46 for Praetorian Property Mutual Fund (PPMF) and $70.00 for Savinvest India Asia Fund (SIAF).
The Second Tier Market remained inactive with FNCU-Venture Capital Company Ltd (FNCU) and Mora Ven Holdings Ltd (MOV) standing firm at $1.00 and $13.50, respectively. The Bond Market was inactive. The Composite Index shed 5.08 points, closing on 786.47. The All T&T Index remained unchanged at 1,113.78. The Cross Listed Index fell 1.19 points on its way to 57.14.
