TCL posts highest volume

Trinidad Cement Ltd (TCL) led in terms of volume as 75,002 shares traded for a value of $298,507.96, while Guardian Holdings Ltd (GHL) posted the highest trade value of $747,684.56 as 42,052 shares were traded.

National Enterprises Ltd (NEL) and Sagicor Financial Corporation (SFC) recorded volumes of 25,852 shares and 25,000 shares and respective values of $139,600.80 and $257,500. Capital & Credit Merchant Bank Ltd Preference (CCMBP) added 17,870 shares valued at $2,323.10, while 10,000 shares of GraceKennedy Ltd (GKC) changed hands for a value of $31,715. In total, 198,614 shares crossed the floor of the Exchange at a market value of $1.55 million.

Declines outpaced advances 3:2. GKC climbed $0.07 to $3.17 and West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd (WCO) increased by $0.06 to $23.56. GHL fell $0.12 to $17.78, while CCMBP and TCL slipped by $0.01 each to $0.13 and $3.98, in that order. On the Mutual Fund Market, 2,000 shares of Praetorian Property Mutual Fund (PPMF) were traded for a value of $6,300. Prices for Caribbean Property Fund (CPF), PPMF and Savinvest India Asia Fund (SIAF) stood firm at $5.11, $3.15 and $70, respectively.

The Second Tier Market and the Bond Market were inactive.

The Composite Index gained 0.02 points to close on 799.77.

The All T&T Index traded down 0.49 points to end the day at 1,084.27.

The Cross Listed Index rose 0.06 points to 63.65.
