Nel takes lead

Traded volume rose to 331,728 shares yesterday, with a market value of $2.10 million. National Enterprises Ltd was the day’s major contributor with 287,848 shares valued at $1.56 million. National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd posted a trade volume of 14,951 shares and a value of $14,203.45.

Scotiabank Trinidad & Tobago Ltd and Ansa McAl Ltd added 7,708 shares and 6,000 shares valued at $215,865.95 and $228,000 respectively. Declines outpaced advances 2:1. National Commercial Bank Jamaica gained $0.08 to close at $0.95. Of the declining issues, National Enterprises Ltd lost $0.60 on its way to $5.40, while Ansa McAL shed $0.05 to end at $38.

There was no activity on the Mutual Fund or Second Tier markets.
The Composite Index slipped 1.89 points closing on 799.63. The All T&T Index fell 8.34 points down to 1,084.76. The Cross Listed Index, however, climbed 0.51 points to end the day at 63.56.
