TCL commences week at the top

The first trade day of the week yielded a total volume of 55,573 shares with a market value of $480,430.69. The security with the largest volume of shares traded was Trinidad Cement Ltd which produced 27,000 shares valued at $109,626.00.

West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd followed with 10,000 shares changing hands for a value of $235,407.50. Also contributing significantly to the day’s trades were Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation, National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd and First Caribbean International Bank Ltd with respective volumes of 6,450 shares, 5,800 shares and 2,500 shares being traded for corresponding values of $47,020.50, $4,930.00 and $22,450.00. verall, a total of eight securities were active on Monday.Three price changes were recorded which included two advances and one decline.

Scotiabank Trinidad & Tobago Ltd climbed $0.10 to close at $28.10, a change of 0.36 per cent, while West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd gained $0.02 or 0.09 per cent to end the day at $23.54. Conversely, National Commercial Bank Jamaica fell $0.04 to close at $0.85, a decline of 4.49 per cent. There was no activity on the Mutual Fund or Second Tier markets. The Composite Index lost 0.88 points to end at 820.48. The All T&T Index rose 0.44 points to 1,126.37. The Cross Listed Index fell 0.26 points to 63.69.
