N&M dominates trading

The first trade day of April yielded a total volume of 525,306 shares with a corresponding market value of $23.78 million. Neal & Massy Holdings Limited was the major contributor with 474,043 shares or 90 per cent of the total volume crossing the floor for a value of $23.47 million.

Sagicor Financial Corporation and National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited recorded volumes of 23,149 shares and 19,245 shares respectively and values of $238,684.37 and $17,209.27 in that order. Five securities were active including National Flour Mills Limited, which added 6,933 shares valued at $3,951.81 and Scotiabank Trinidad & Tobago Limited, of which 1,936 shares changed hands for a value of $54,208.00.

There was one price change recorded on Wednesday as National Commercial Bank Jamaica fell $0.09 to close at $0.89. The Mutual Fund and Second Tier markets were inactive. The Composite Index fell 2.45 points to 819.37 whereas the All T&T Index remained constant at 1,121.86. The Cross Listed Index fell 0.58 points to close at 63.95.
